On 6-7 May 2013, the 4th International Roundtable on China-Africa Health Cooperation, preparatory part of the Ministerial Forum of China-Africa Health Development, was successfully held in Gaborone, capital of Botswana in Africa. The conference was co-hosted by the Ministry of Health of Botswana, the Institute for Global Health at Peking University, and China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Medicines and Health Products under the Ministry of Commerce of the Peoples Republic of China. National Health and Family Planning Commission of China, important political figures from some African countries, senior officials form the African Union and regional organizations in Africa as well as international multi-lateral and bilateral organizations (Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS, United Nations Population Fund, World Health Organization and the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria), and representatives from large-sized enterprises attended the meeting.

On behalf of Sichuan Grand Shuyang Pharmaceutical Co.,Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as “Grand Shuyang”), General Manager Jiang Dexi and Wu Hua, manager of the international trade unit, joined the delegation of outstanding enterprises organized by China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Medicines and Health Products. Additionally, Mr. Jiang attended the international conference as the deputy head of the delegation and participated in a series of business events organized by the Chamber. He took the advantage of this conference to give publicity to the products of Grand Shuyang and seek opportunities to exports the products to Africa, which lays a foundation, in terms of channel, for the company’s international development strategies.
