On November 13, 2014, a high-level conference of World Cultural Forum (Taihu, China) on the protection and development of global traditional medicine was held in Macau. About 1,000 participants, including medical experts, scholars and business elites, from about 20 countries and regions attended the conference and had various discussions related to the ecological concept of traditional medicine and its inheritance and innovation. Chen Zhu, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, and Kong Sam Ol, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, attended and addressed the opening ceremony. As the development platform of CGE Healthcare’s modern Chinese medicine industry, and a company with nearly 300-years of history, Lei Yunshang Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd. (“Lei Yunshang Pharmaceutical” for short) was invited to attend the conference.  

Themed “Innovating and Developing Traditional Medicine and Marching toward a New Era of Ecological Civilization”, and from the perspective of ecological civilization, the conference aimed at tapping into the full potential and strength of the traditional medicine, at promoting innovative development of traditional and modern medicines as well as medical concept and model, to conscientiously protect human health.

Great Masters of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Gathered; “Jian Yan Ling Capsule” Recommended

 “TCM masters talking about health” is the most popular program during the conference. Quite a few famous TCM masters gathered and participated in the health dialogue in Macau, including Jin Shiyuan, a great TCM master, Shi Xuemin, an academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Zhai Shengli, student of Mr. Jin Shiyuan, and Shi Xiaomo, inheritor of Shi Jinmo and one of the four famous TCM doctors in Beijing.

Mr. Shi Xiaomo, one of the four famous TCM doctors in Beijing, talked about the time-honored brand Lei Yunshang and his father Mr. Shi Jinmo’s famous anti-aging prescription “Jian Yan Ling Capsule”, which is a renowned product of Lei Yunshang and produced based on Mr. Shi Jinmo’s carefully crafted formulation with properly selected medicinal materials for well-balanced synergy. In TCM term, the capsule is moderately tonic and warm, and can be used to balance Yin and Yang in all seasons, fully demonstrating the essence of TCM-based healthcare.

At the 2014 High-level Conference on the Protection and Development of Global Traditional Medicine, an exhibition of pure TCM products was also held on site. About the World Cultural Forum (Taihu, China)

World Cultural Forum (Taihu, China) is a national non-governmental organization which was founded after Boao Forum for Asia. Its establishment had high regard and great support from Chinese government. The forum, formed with the model and experiences of the World Economic Forum as reference, is established to promote the development of the Chinese culture and cross-cultural communications between China and foreign countries. It is the first cultural community established independently and given FORUM as the name of the organization in China. The two-day high-level conference of on the protection and development of global traditional medicine held in Macau is another major event carried out by World Cultural Forum (Taihu, China) in the traditional medicine sector after its first such conference on TCM development was held successfully in 2012.
